More from Maryland

Our trip to Maryland continued . . .

Grandpop spoiled us by bringing home push-up cupcakes from one of the Cupcakes Wars winners in Belair MD.  We also had cupcakes flavored like french toast, red velvet, peanut butter & jelly and more.  They were sooooo good :)

Although we were 600 miles north ~ it was still in the 90's and 100's while we were there.  The kids kept cool in the water in the backyard.

And also the pool at the marina.  They were taking a break for lunch when the decided to have a balancing contest.

Olivia did pretty good, but Garrett's haircut helped him balance a little longer.

At the dollar store when we bought the decorations for Grandpop's party, we picked up a pack of baseball cards.  This turned into a larger collection that we sorted and looked at daily.

Here are the kids with Nana and the cats Abbey and Charlie.  Garrett and Olivia spent every waking moment hunting them down to pet, brushing them and of course feeding them treats.  This shot was the rare occasion that Abbey sat still and let them pet her.

The kids also enjoyed playing the Wii (Mario Cart to be precise).  They only play this once a year, but are quick to learn and jump back into it.  Mom and I were able to sneak out to the garage and build a shelving unit and do some major organizing out there on a rare cool day.

Also on our trip the kids went to see a few movies, Garrett sparked an interest in learning how to play the piano, several hours of pinball in the basement, weed picking for Grandpop - (that he called "farming" and paid $1 after their hard work), and had many many yummy meals and treats compliments of Nana.
