Grandpop's Birthday

After our weekend trip to Atlanta, Nana stayed in Charlotte for a few days and then flew back on the plane with the kids an I for our vacation at their house in Maryland.

The first day there was my dad's birthday.  The first day of summer!  In keeping with the baseball vibe, the kids wanted to have a baseball themed party.  They colored baseballs and bats and helped hang streamers and make this cake for Grandpop.

Of course the kids wanted to have a "surprise" party for him.  Here's grandpop entering in after his day at work to his baseball party.

Complete with party hats and noise makers - Grandpop blew out his candles!

And a party wouldn't be a party without party games.

Minute-to-Win-it Style

Moving the cottonball with your vaseline covered nose was a little difficult for Garrett and Olivia.  However, Grandpop was a PRO!!

Cup stacking was really fun too!

Garrett had his own special technique.

Happy Birthday Grandpop!
