The celebration started early with the arrival of Grammy and Poppy. They came to see us on their way back to Indiana from sunny Florida ~ notice their nice tans?
They were able to come to school for Garrett's Spring party - complete with crafts, egg hunt and off course face painting.
Before they left we enjoyed a nice ham dinner and church on Friday night.
I'm beginning to think we need to find another place to take a picture - how many do I have in front of this mantel?
Saturday was the official start to Spring Break and Joe and I were sick. They ran circles around us and we finally got up the energy to hide some eggs for them in the yard. They were happy to be out and gathering eggs.
No big Spring Break trip this year - but after we were feeling better we salvaged the week and saw a movie, went to Ikea, Concord Mills and had a few playdates. All in all a good break.
Olivia was happy to have her best friend home for a week to play with her and Garrett even managed to sleep in a few days until 7:15!
It sounds like a great Spring Break (minus the sickness). Love that you got to spend time with the grandparents!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great family picture in front of the fireplace! I kind of think it is neat to have a favorite "picture spot" for all the special pictures...just think of prom pictures there years down the road! Glad you guys are feeling better & were able to still enjoy spring break! We like just hanging out & actually having a break/just letting the kids play over break, too!
