Christmas at our house is very laid back. After Garrett's school party, I purposefully did not attend any other parties, cookie exchanges or big Christmas "things".
We wanted our time to be fun and boring at the same time.
How did we do that? We said yes to extended family 'stopping in' on their way to Atlanta.
We said yes to a wonderful Christmas service at our church on Friday evening.
We said yes to singing Happy Birthday to Emanuel ~ God with us
We said yes over and over to Garrett when he asked to build all his new Lego sets.
We said yes to playing Hello Kitty Bingo, watching Livvie Hula Hoop and our new favorite game Spot It.
We said yes to listening to Garrett play just "one more" song on his Paper Jamz guitar - even though the one song got old REALLY fast :)
So from Jewelry to Drill Bits and everything in between - we stayed close to home and enjoyed this time together.
