December Activities

In December, we had a wonderful time.  This is the winter party at Garrett's school.  I finally was able to snap a picture with his teacher, Mrs. Fiallo.  She is the sweetest teacher and of course Garrett adores her.

Olivia has been fortunate to share in all the fun as well and has made a few friends of her own in Garrett's class.

The party was a "Cookies and Milk" theme.  I found these adorable snowman cups that the children could drink from and take home with them as well.  There were even more containers of cookies brought after I snapped this picture.  When the kids started going through the line, they were taking one of each - at one point I think Livvie had 9 cookies on her plate!

Since the party was early in the morning, Joe was able to surprise Garrett.  Since this was his first time in Garrett's classroom - Garrett went from center to center showing him everything in the room.

We were fortunate to have Corky the Clown come in again - only this time as an Elf.  She did tricks, blew up balloons and painted faces for the kids.

Here's my little elf after the party - her face paint is supposed to be a "snow princess" - Garrett was the King of Candyland with candycanes on his face - but somehow I missed snapping a picture of his face.

During Christmas break, our neighborhood had Santa come in on a firetruck.  We had hot cocoa and more cookies down by the pool.

Garrett's specific request was a Red, White and Blue Japanese metal fusion Beyblade - what?  not sold in this country . . . Apparently he saw it over my shoulder one day when I was on Amazon, but they were sold from S. Korea !! After some searching, I found one in Illinois and it arrived just in time to put under the tree.

Now Olivia's request was much easier a REAL pink Hula Hoop.  She requested a REAL one because the ones that we purchased from the dollar store last about a week.  A much easier request - one trip to Target and this one was done!

One night the kids slept downstairs by the Christmas tree.  They made it until 3:37 when they came upstairs and asked to be tucked back into their beds.

Our Elf, Oliver, was back this year and was much trickier.  He wrote on the bathroom mirrow with shaving cream, dressed in a Karate gee, lined up about 60 squinkies on the bookcase, played in sugar, put our kitchen chairs backwards and many more -

Our best friends from GA came up for a visit and their son, Ty,  had fun with Garrett & Olivia too.

All that and a few trips in The Brooks Express (complete with Rudolph nose and antlers) to see lights. That brings us up to Christmas . . .
