Week #8 - God Created Us!!

This week was all about the letter U and how God created us!  We had a special visitor Uncle Josh stayed with us for a few days this week.  Ironically, our rods for the letter "U" had a picture that you had to make an "unhappy uncle" ~ so not the case - Uncle Josh is well loved and spent MANY hours playing with Garrett and Olivia on his 3 day stay at our house and the LOVED it!!!

In the unit, we talked about the five senses and played games using all of them.  Here's Olivia playing one of her favorite games "Ned's Head" - You pick a card and reach inside Ned's head to try and find it with your sense of touch.

We also did some finger painting "non-messy style" inside a ziploc bag. 

We also took turns wearing a blindfold and used our sense of hearing to guess the sound that was being made.  I didn't get a picture of it ~ but the kids actually both put on blindfolds and let me put different foods in their mouth - they were sooo trusting and I was nice and only used things they liked like crackers, cheese, fruit snacks ~ but I really wanted to pull out that raw broccoli from the fridge!

Last thing for the week was a trip to the park and a FREE haircut for Garrett from Uncle Josh.  We'll definitely be having him over again to do this for us!  Thanks Uncle Josh!
