Well this week was the first "vowel" we have learned ~ one step closer to putting all those letters together and learning how to read! I'm getting excited & nervous about him knowing what things say . . .
Garrett was again disappointed that we're not learning the letter "G" yet, but it's teaching him patience. He keeps explaining, "A, B, C, D, E, F, G!" We should be on "G" this week.
Here's some of the highlights from our HOT trip to the mountains - Hmmmm cold at the beach last week ~ hot in the mountains - what is going on with this crazy weather? Because the weather has been so nice in the mountains the sign at SkyTop Orchard read "Because of the warm weather all the apples have been picked - Enjoy the scenery in the orchard" - something that would have been nice to know before our 2 hour ride there ~ but we made the best of it and still trudged out to the last row where I was promised there were some Pink Ladies to pick (there were not)
Olivia - just stand and "pretend" to pick an apple.
And the highlight of Olivia's day - feeding the goats with Garrett & our friend Ellis.
I have to say our first trip to the orchard was good. The fresh apple donuts and apple slushies were worth it and even though there were no apples to pick - they still had plenty of apples to buy and we came home with a bushel of Pink Ladies!!

Oh bummer on the apples, but looks like a fun outing anyway! We have gone in years with no apples, too & still love it! I'm jealous of your pink ladies...we didn't get any of those & they are my favorites! Hope that is what you are bringing to MOMS!
