We interrupt this home school blog to bring you - Garrett Thomas Brooks' first soccer game pictures. Well you know that thing that you say your kid will NEVER do BEFORE you have kids - well for Joe (& me a little) it was play soccer. However, as Garrett is now almost 5, a little clumsy and has TONS of energy we decided that once a week soccer would be good for him.
Now if you know Garrett, he can get a little bit excited over things - and soccer was NO exception. We had the countdown, the everyday questions of "is today the day I'm going to play soccer?" and our personal favorite "will there be TV cameras there so everyone can see me play?" -- well no media was alerted (yet), but Garrett did score a goal and was very happy with his morning. It was pretty painless for us "non-soccer" parents - I guess we'll enjoy these Saturdays this fall.

That comment about the TV cameras is absolutely priceless! So glad that Garrett had a great 1st game! Jack & Sophie both scored goals in their games, too, so it made for a great season opener! Have a good week!
