Well I have thought about it, and thought about it, and thought about it some more. This week when mom was in town to help ~ I finally did it - Framed those huge builder grade mirrors in our bathrooms.
I looked all over at tutorials and found this one to be the best for my situation. I followed her instructions here. She actually framed the mirrors with PVC molding. I thought it was an awesome idea because I could spray paint the molding to any color I wanted.
For the kids beach bathroom, I kept the molding white - soooo simple. Here are the before and afters . . .
After:
I LOVE how the kids mirror turned out, but I'm really doing a happy dance over here over our master bath mirror. I spray painted the molding with Oil Rubbed Bronze finish for this look.
Here it is before:
And after:
Can you hear me squealing???
And the best part - total cost for all supplies for both mirrors $80 !!
Thanks mom for all the encouragement while I sawed those angle cuts :)
Bonus: Both the kids and hubby thought I had bought new mirrors.

LOVE IT!!!!
ReplyDeletewhen you get settled in with the new baby - I'm coming over to do yours :)
DeleteI have always thought this is one of the neatest ideas & wanted to do it in our old house! But then we moved & put in different bathroom mirrors here, so I haven't had a chance to do it. Yours turned out GREAT!! The one in your MB really is fantastic! Awesome job!!
