And over the moutains and through some tunnels - to Grammy & Poppy's house we go!
We made our last long drive for the summer to Indianapolis - we had beautiful weather while we were there.
The kids had their first go at DuckPin Bowling. The ball was much lighter, but the old lanes with bumps and cracks made it difficult to knock down the pins.
After a few tries it got a little easier (and letting them walk down to the middle of the lane helped a lot).
Grammy was a pro !!
Joe was stylin' in his bowling shoes!
Also that week, we got to spend time with Uncle Mike and Aunt Shellie. Here's Garrett "helping" Uncle Mike beat Livvie in battleship.
One of the other reasons why we made the trip was to attend Joe's 25 year High School reunion. It was interesting to watch all the people squinting their eyes while trying to read nametags and then try and jog their memory of who the person was.
We also took the kids to downtown Indianapolis.
There are tons of monuments on the circle and they enjoyed climbing ALL of the stairs to get to each one.
The state house in the distance. Joe and I even walked through the lobby of the OneAmerica tower where we met and started dating.
Garrett loved this door - because it was GOLD of course!
Great time with family and another great trip for our family!
