Love Week

This week our church along with 50+ churches around our city are partnering together to spread some love and serve our city!  In 2012, Elevation church is believing in the unifying power and love of Jesus to UNITE more than twice as many churches to serve more than 50,000 hours in our city.  Love Week

Olivia and I had some "girl time" this morning at Bright Blessings in Matthews.  If you're local, you should check it out.  They are a wonderful organization that provides birthday blessings to the over 1,400 homeless children in Charlotte-Mecklenburg school systems.  The operation was well organzied and even had a play area for smaller children to play why you volunteer.  Olivia wanted no part in playing she was there to work and for 2 hours we made goody bags and bookmarks for them.

Later that night, Olivia had a Daddy/Daughter date night and Outreach for the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte.  They enjoyed a dinner together and then decorated cookies for the kids at the house.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Garrett was feeling a little left out so we enjoyed a Mother/Son date night - at Chick-Fil-A and then a quick trip to Target for some Valentines treats for the family.  Garrett could not wait for Valentines's Day and already delivered his valentine to his 'bus crush' late last week :)   No word yet whether she will reciprocate yet, but Garrett informed me yesterday that he's got  a lot of girls on his hands :)
